Style Chain

I like the term "style chain" because it sounds so much nicer than "copying" which always got you in trouble in third grade. I've seen a few people wearing this simple but completely alluring combination of striped top + orange skirt that Kendi ingeniously put together a few weeks ago. After I saw Erin's version and Jinah's, I was dying to copy, I mean style chain, the look myself.

Style Chain

Also, the extremely talented Mary Plautz just redesigned things around here and she did an amazing job (if you're like me and read everything on a reader, come on over today to check it out)! She was exceptionally patient with a million of my bullet-pointed emails and she designed a layout that was more me than I thought possible. And she did it for a ridiculously low price, so if you're looking to redesign your page, find her here.

P.S. I hear some people are having problems with readers/Bloglovin'. Would you send me an email if you are having difficulty viewing posts this morning for whatever reason? Then I can get it all sorted.

I love the redesign! That header is darling and perfect for your blog.

I love your style chain of this look - the stripes against the red is so classic and fresh. And I always love a skirt with patch pockets like that one.

Only reading in a Reader? Guilty as charged! The redesign is lovely and since I'm here, I thought I should probably leave a comment. I love you style! I'm a faux-grad student (I take classes here and there for fun, and I work at a university). Your style is what my style aspires to. Thanks for the real world inspiration and please keep up the good work!

Awh, I love that outfit, and you are right the term 'style chain' is so much more endearing than the word copying.
And this is such a lovely layout! I thought it as soon as the post page loaded, that font for the blog name is delicious. :) X

I love the colour of that skirt! I've been eying a cardigan at work in the same colour... Orange seems to be popular this year!

You may see me in a striped shirt and bright skirt very soon....this is pretty. You have such great skin! I'm jealous of your pinkness. (I am yellow. This is probably a super weird compliment.)

I would definitely sew you a dress, except that I am only good at sewing things that fit me...since I'm no expert seamstress hahaha :)
I could try tho!

Dig the new design (although I mostly do the reader thing). I think yours is a great interpretation. Luckily, clothes look different on everybody so even a similar outfit is still quite different.

The new header is beautiful. BIKE! :) The outfit is chic and fun. I might have to copy/style chain it myself. I have the striped top in navy, but I don't have a red or orange skirt. Will be on the lookout.

I like the term "style chain" too. I can't help it when a light bulb goes off in my head when another blogger wears an outfit concocted with similar pieces that I own, it makes me rethink and pair things in new and different ways.
