MVP Round II

Now that there are no more little boys to chase, I'm back in my favorite dress, which is always what I reach for when I'm feeling indecisive (maybe that's why I wear it so much?). I've been feeling a little stumped in front of my closet the past few days, so I have to ask: what's been inspiring you lately?

MVP Round II

P.S. Want to win a gorgeous printed tote? Look no further.

I see you have put the birks away. How is your toe doing?

I love that dress! The basics are always the best in my opinion :)
Plus you gotta stay comfy in this crazy heat!

Well that dress is great, so I don't blame you for reaching for it. The past few days I have been playing with silhouettes and experimenting with some that aren't necessarily "flattering." That's keeping me inspired.

That's a great dress; I definitely see why it holds fall back position. And look at those sandals! No birks?

I have a similar LOFT dress in black, but I like your blue-gray version better. Jersey dresses are always the best for comfort and convenience.

I wish I could offer some inspiration, unfortunately I don't have enough clothes to get inspired. Although when I'm feeling bored and frustrated I throw on some great colorful sock I got from We Love Colors and I feel much better!

Love this look, the colors fit together perfectly! :D

Your cardi is so cute! Great outfit! ♥♥

I'm always a fan of red and blue, it looks cute! I'm impressed that you even added a cardi and belt-- summer makes me want to wear one item only-- no layers!

CUTE. This is one of my most favorite color combinations I have ever seen on you!

That double-buckle belt is so fab. Think your mom misses it?

Nothing has been inspiring me lately because I need to do laundry and I'm down to the bottom of the barrel, so to speak. But I love that belt!

This dress is so flattering on you, and it is definitely a gorgeous staple piece-I can see why it is your closet's MVP. :)
I've been feeling very frustrated myself...unable to see the light of any particular piece in my closet. So I turned to my friend for inspiration--she said she uses the forest, for its different light, vibrant colors, and how everything in it is one of a kind. She told me to try pairing forest-y hues with my favorite staple pieces, and some unusual and unique accessories.
This has turned out to be more of a mini essay than a comment, but I hope I've helped? (I'm not very good at that, so sorry if I haven't!)

That dress looks super cute and comfy on you! Nothing has been inspiring me lately. NOTHING. I'm having such inspiration block! :( Maybe it's the heat?

That dress is a great length on you! How do you wear flat, ankle-strap sandals without looking like you have cankles? THAT is a skill I have not mastered. Bravo!

I was running low on inspiration until I traveled last week. Now I'm feeling refreshed and seeing my closet with newish eyes. Any chance you could take a weekend trip? That usually helps me.

The last few days, the need to be rolling around on the clinic floor at work has been dictating my wardrobe, unfortunately :)

I like the flat sandals a lot, they go really well with the dress.

Cheers!

I think this outfit is adorable! I love it! The combination of colours is fantastic, and the fit is very flattering!

As for what's been inspiring me lately, it's mostly been using clothes that have sat unworn for some time. Since I obviously can't haul everything off to uni with me, I have a fair selection of clothing that sits unworn for the school year. When I'm back for the summer, I try to focus on wearing those pieces more than the ones I have had with me all year, and I get a lot of different outfits.

Warmer weather also pushes me out of my comfort zone a little because it prevents me from wearing the jackets and layers I love, so I have to find ways to accessorize to stay comfortable.

The other thing I've been doing is trying to look at items in new ways. I have a black and white gingham jacket that I always want to automatically pair with a black and red/hotpink. When I realized that I started trying to find other combinations to pair it with, and I was quite happy with the outcomes! Just try pairing one of your old favourites with something you haven't thought of wearing it with before, and I'm sure you'll be feeling inspired again in no time!

You're looking great in a "standby" outfit. Polished yet casual.
I haven't had much inspiration lately, which is why I spend time looking at blogs in my reader. My blogs are often my inspiration, but so are folks on the subway.

It recently cooled off this week, and I've been suddenly, and happily, inspired by the break in the heat. And now I'm inspired by this outfit! Your MVP dress is so great, and I'm loving the combo with the red cardi.

Very cute outfit, love the cardigan. I have been looking for a cute red one. Lately I have been trying to add more color into my wardrobe instead of sticking with my usual black and white.

I love that double belt! It's a great detail. Ha ha my work inspires me the most! It's really not as sad as it sounds. I get a lot of different types of people coming there and I love to people watch and look at their outfits

Oh, you look great in gladiators! I own some myself, and I love them. I'm just wondering how you avoid the cankle look so easily. I haven't yet posted a look with my gladiator sandals because I'm self-conscious that they make my already short legs look extra stumpy. Hmph.

Fun mix of prints!
