Pretty Patterns

skirt: i made it

earrings: forever 21

This weekend, I went into some kind of sewing frenzy after finding some great patterns in the clearance section of the fabric store (including this one, which I'm crazy about). I also made up a tutorial, which I'll finally post later this week, on how to make a covered elastic waist skirt.

Pretty Patterns

Don't mind the bruises on my knees--I took a break from being a studious monk and went out dancing on Friday night. Let's just say I'm not the most graceful dancer...

Pretty Patterns

P.S. Thank you for all your wonderful sweet comments on Friday--they meant more to me than I can say. I wish I could give each of you a great big hug! And after all my hair-love, I went and cut it over the weekend--it feels so short and cool for summer!

P.P.S. Today's the last day to enter the giveaway to win an Etienne Aigner bag...

The pattern on that skirt is gorgeous! Sometimes, the fabric clearance section can be more dangerous for my wallet than the sale rack :)

Haha, I knew it, you hair is fabulous like this and I know how it feels =)

I loved your skirt and I am now longing to buy a sewing machine in order to try to make some beautiful stuff like you do :D but I am sure I'll probably not buy one until my graduation party (2 years from now):P

This patternt is great!

Oh and dancing is the best thing ever! I always wanted to take up dance classes with Alex somewhere =) I am not a good dancer either, but I dance in front of the mirror everytime I can =P

xoxox, take care

Your hair look wonderful!

And as soon as I saw the first picture and that pattern, I scrolled down quickly to see where the skirt was from.

All at the same time, I was disappointed you had made it since it means I can't buy one and yet again in awe of your ability.

Just lovely, Tania.

Love your new skirt! You're getting so good at sewing. The pattern is beautiful too. Are you done with the semester yet? I've still got finals and grading left. I can't wait to start sewing more, too.

I love love love this skirt!! And I am also loving the earrings--the word that comes to mind to describe this outfit is pizazz! With the exclamation point.

I also really like those wedges. I was thinking of investing in a pair, but I desperately need a new bag because mine is falling apart....priorities are hard.

I tried to get myself into a sewing frenzy this weekend, but it wasn't clicking. Hopefully I can get into it next weekend. I'm starting to get a crazy backlog of projects.

Gahh, I cannot believe you made that skirt. Well, actually I can because you've made like five of them already and they've all been really gorgeous.

Also, those shoes look ridiculously stylish and comfortable.

That skirt is awesome. I'm really excited for the tutorial. While my sewing skills are nascent I feel as though I can handle an elastic waist skirt, or am at least bold enough to attempt one.
