Dressing My Best

Dressing My Best

The ladies at Academichic are organizing Dress Your Best Week, where we play up our favorite physical features rather than dressing to hide our least favorite. Along with many other bloggers, I am participating (albeit, a little bit late) by picking a part of myself I love and dressing to show it off this week.

Dressing My Best

Like A., my waist is definitely one of my favorite features (seen a belt or two around here?), so today I'm wearing one of my favorite black belts to highlight it.

Dressing My Best

Oh, and these are new shoes, courtesy of a Zappos giftcard I won from teenfashionista (thank you, Casey!!). They are totally exciting and fabulous and I never would have bought them on my own. And they are amazingly comfortable to boot.

Cute shoes was one of my first thoughts when I saw that top picture! You look like you feel your best in this outfit-- relaxed and laughing. Then I had neighborhood envy because yours looks so green and damp, like it just rained.

The wedges are marvelous, doll! And I'm a big fan of showing off my waist, too.

Great shoes. Dig the silver with the grey cardigan. And the braids are awesome. (And you do have an enviable and itty bitty waist).

Those new wedges are fantastic! I love the intricate leather braiding across the foot. And I also love the wide belt over the cardigan. Such a figure-flatterer on you and creates a wonderful silhouette.

You have a fantastic waist, and that is a great way to accentuate it. I think my waist is also my favorite body part.

I've been eyeing those Clarks wedges for a long time, and it's great to see how they look on.

I love the blue and gray color scheme you have going on here.
