The Real Deal

The Real Deal

Works Cited
skirt: liberty of london for target (girls' section)
teal tee: forever 21
yellow belt: j crew
flats: urban outfitters

Here's what I wore yesterday, when I was busy being parodied by the sweetest photographer on earth. Behind the scenes: Christopher was so excited to write that post that he's been planning it for ages, and he made me laugh so hard when he poked fun at my love for J. Crew and belting (and--gulp!--I did both yesterday!).

The Real Deal

When I passed by these skirts a few weeks ago in the little girls' section of Target, I immediately thought: I could wear those at my waist and they would be perfect for spring! And so I bought two. They were only $11. Gotta love kids clothes. And gotta love this gloriously warm spring weather--what a joy to have bare legs! I grew up in California, so dressing for warm weather feels like coming home. I'm planning to enjoy the weather this weekend with a bike ride with Christopher and a pottery class (and lots and lots of reading!).

What are you up to?

a perfect outfit to welcome spring! That skirt is so cute on you. I love how the blue tee makes the floral print pop out more.

sounds like you have a great weekend planned, I am heading down to Champaign, IL for Easter with my in-laws.

It´s easter weekend, so we might do some family stuff, left alone real family members, but friends...sipping coffee, eating cake, cooking together, a night of poker...stuff like that.

And getting dressed (at least on my part :))...

BTW: you look great, the skirt is really lovely.

Great skirt find! Did you layer the two skirts you purchased or is that one adorable piece on its own? The skinny belt works beautifully... also cute parody, definitely nailed the signature look!

I forgot about the girl's section. I'm going to have to check it out.
I hear you about bare legs. I grew up in southern California but now live in Northern Cal. I do so miss the sun.

I am loving this Spring ensemble. The colors, the layering of the skirts (way to go on scoping out the girls section!), and the contrasting yellow belt are just a fantastic combo.

I loooove that skirt on you!! I had originally purchased both of the girls' skirts too when I made my crazy 6AM online purchase when LoL came out, but they were way too short on me when they came. Now I so wish I had kept them.

Haha, I realize I'm a little late coming in and commenting on this but I am SO glad that somebody else took advantage of the Liberty of London girl's section - cheaper and still SUPER cute! I'm sure their are other that I just haven't seen but I LOVE what you did with yours.
