T.S. Eliot (allegedly) once said "Mediocre writers borrow; great writers steal." I hope this means I'm great, since I'm plagiarizing wholesale from Katy at Kansas Couture today, who wore jeans and a light colored top with big shoes last week and looked so fabulous that I thought to myself "I must try to pull that off."

Alas, though I love the look of jeans-with-flowy-top on other people, I don't think it's the most flattering on me because it camouflages the smallest part of me (waist) and highlights the biggest (hips). I guess this is karma for being a copycat?

You look great! You are so slim so the proportions still work :)
I think it looks just fine, and the white looks good on you, I think. This outfit is just nice and simple, which really works well sometimes. Solid colors and a bracelet to add some asymmetry.
Cheers!
You look fabulous! Love your jeans and bracelet!

you look great!!!!! bracelet + shoes = A++ :)
I adore those shoes, girl!
I would have precisely those same issues. Katy's so lucky with her narrow hips!
But in truth, you look adorable.
I love it! I think it's a great casual laidback outfit!

Another quote for ya is "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery". I don't know who said that, but if you copy someone that means you like it!! =)
totally know how you feel... whenever my waist is kinda hidden I just don't feel as wow in an ensemble. I do, however, think you are rocking this look! but to be more comfortable maybe you could try a skinny belt over this at your waist and blousing the shirt on top so you still get the flowy factor, but your waist is highlighted too.
I can completely relate to feeling like these more billowy outfits can emphasize having wider hips, but I think you look fabulous in this! I agree with Chelsea's suggestion for how to make this work at your comfort level, but I don't think it's at all necessary.
I'm another one who feels odd when my waist is masked. I agree with everyone, though, that this look is fab on you!
You are very slender and this is a great crisp warm weather look on you. Also, I giggled at the headline "Plagiarism" because I thought maybe one of your students was bad. I guess we all "plagiarize" when dressing but I prefer "inspired" or "my interpretation" (or even more grad school- "my reading") of other people's outfits!
Well at least your admitting the plagiarism! :D Kansas Couture is a great blog to find outfit inspiration.
I think you look very sweet and svelte today! (As always!) Your hair looks beautiful and I am definitely crushing on those shoes!
I think it looks great because of the little details - the cuff, the cute shoes, the rolled pants! Lovely!
FWIW I think this outfit look great on you.
And I love your hair down!
I agree with lots of other commenters that you look great and your hair is amazing. The length, style and color are so flattering.
You are slim overall, so it totally works! I think you could also toss a tiny belt on at the waist to get some more definition without changing the effect.

Love it.Those shoes are great!!
Seriously, Tania, this SO works for you. It's really stunning!
Nothing to worry about Tania. It´s a simple outfit, and it simply works.
Nope. You look awesome.
You look great! I love the whole outfit on you.
The outfit absolutely works for you in every way :)
You have gorgeous hair!
So chic and even a bit edgy with the gold cuff.
Those wedges are fantastic! (I may have to copy you on those if they have my size.) This whole outfit is truly worth copying (and copying).
TS Eliot is one of my faves. I love his humility. I hope you're a great writer, too, so I can say I "knew" you when!
You look smashing and totally pulled this off.
In fashion, is it plagiarism or is it inspiration? I prefer inspiration :) Your take on her outfit is spectacular.
Just so you know, I'm going to plagiarize the both of you! So take that originality, take that.
i love those shoes and that shirt, so cute!
also guess who's favorite reader got jeggings and the hugest owl necklace?? you make me want to be more brave with my fashion
