In the Deep Dark Forest

I wasn't even sure I was going to post this today--it's kind of an off-day look and my main goal this morning was to seem extra-tall and professional on my last day of teaching for the semester (and, gulp!, the day I had to hand out evaluations!). This is about as power suit-esque as I get, even if it's a little dull, so I thought I'd show you anyway.

Hope you all have a terrific weekend (I'm going to be buried alive in grading and writing final papers eek!). xoxo.

Congrats on finishing the term, and here's hoping it rains all weekend so you don't have to feel so bad about being stuck doing grading :)

I like the sandals a lot! Seems like those would work great for riding the bike when it's warm out, too.

Cheers!

that is NOT an off day look. you look like a classic sophisticated intellectual who's not afraid to bike in skirts and heels. this is why you kick ass. ps: your nail polish is cute! :)

Off days are good to post I'm starting to realize, because it just goes to show that everyone isn't perfect! :D Best of luck grading those papers. Make sure to squeeze a bit of fun in the weekend with a trip to a coffee shop or something!

The Brooks saddle looks so great with the blue of your bike.

Good luck on all the stuff you need to get done this weekend, and specially good luck on those evaluations.

You look great! I like the belt and the shoes with the blues. I find that the majority of students are really positive (but not always helpful) in reviews. (Ratemyprofessor.com is another story entirely). Congrats on finishing your teaching for the semester! We still have 2 weeks so I'll not to be envious!

I love this outfit! I wish I could look this put together on my last day of teaching. Don't fret about the evaluations. I don't think they are as important as we think they are and I'm sure you do a stellar job. Hang in there this weekend with the marking and the writing. Have lots of tea breaks (that's what I do, though it has been said on RMP that I am "a bit strange, but alright". Ha!).

I don't think it's dull at all - classicly chic!

Not dull. Not with your accessorizing, bright manicure, and super cute sandals! Off topic, but I am glad to see you wear a helmet (though I suppose I am assuming since the helmet is in your bike basket) – maybe not so fashionable, but oh so important. :) Have a great weekend.

I also liked your article on Clare's site. :) Have a great weekend!

Now this is the type of powersuit that I love! You look professional, but still pretty and stylish.

You look very powerful! And yet breezy, because I'm guessing you're about to ride a bike? Love the belt.

You bike looks like a blue version of the bike that I commute on. Mine is an english green vintage (mid-60s) Raleigh. How about yours?
