Even though I'm spending the day reading and writing for my final papers, I still wanted to look sharp. I think dressing for success works just as well when you're all by yourself as when you're trying to impress others. And today, I'm trying to impress myself right into writing my seminar papers. Do you ever "dress for success" just to please yourself?

Ooh, you've got a great preppy/boho chic vibe going today. I love the pinks and floral on you - it goes perfect with the "undone" hair bun.
aahhh!!! two of my coworkers are wearing the same exact color as that shirt you are wearing. also, i wish i could fit into clothes from the girl's section! :)
This outfit is just adorable, and I love your hair in that messy updo! I tend to dress for business as usual whether I'll be on campus or working from home.
I do, I feel more creative when I dress for success. On the other hand, do you ever feel like an outfit is wasted? Sometimes, when something comes together extra cute or my hair is looking really good, nothing goes on that day and I feel a little bit disappointed.
I'm loving the mary janes today.
LOVE that skirt. I definitely wanted it at target & wished they had made an adult version because there is no way these hips are fitting in a little girls skirt! haha
Yes :P but it hardly works.. hhahah
Love the monochromatic pink!! You look so darling! Good luck with all your work :)

I definitely believe that what you're wearing has an impact on productiveness. I love the flirty take on the man tailored shirt- you look fantastic.
I still can not believe that skirt is form the kids section at Target! It's so cute! funny, I actually try to dress nicely every day--even before I made my blog. It just makes me feel good about myself, which in turn makes me more productive.

You look great in that skirt! I tend not to look good when I work work but I have certain clothing habits. Like a favorite hat or a favorite sweater.
Yes good luck! Sending productivity vibes your way!
Beautiful skirt!
I love this look - the oxford is sooo cute with the skirt! I totally think how I dress changes my motivation, so I always get dressed up, even on my days off so I'm not tempted to lay around being lazy all day with Hulu.
I try to wear a skirt once a week just to impress myself at work. I love this skirt! Good luck with all the final papers!
Definitely dressed for some successful studying! The pinks and patterns of a Sofia Coppola-ish pastry! There have absolutely been occasions when I've dressed up for myself- it just makes you feel so much better...
You look adorable! I can't get over it. So stinkin' adorable!
I love all the pink. I looks great!
I agree - if dressing up makes you feel better I think you will perform better!
I've said it before and I'll say it again - adore your skirt!
I don't dress for success when I work, though I do dress in my favourite comfy clothes. There is something to be said, I think, for taking yourself seriously when you dress seriously and you make me wonder what would happen if I tried it. When you are on the market, I absolutely recommend dressing for any phone interview you may receive; it helps a lot in that awkward situation. Good luck finishing those papers/future articles!
There is no excuse as to not dress up properly...apart from a nasty hangover or paingiving illnesses...but you look sharp!
Getting dressed up definitely helps us style nerds to feel better, hence enables us to live up to our own expectations.
I do like to get dressed up even if I know I'm going to spend the whole day inside. It just makes me feel pretty!
Dressing to impress, even if I'm the only one around to be impressed by it, is my outlook on life right now. It keeps me on-track and sharp!
I like the combination of crisp shapes and soft, girly colors you've created in this outfit. It creates a very pleasant contrast.
Aw, I love it!
I definitely have my dress-for-comfort evenings and weekends, but I also find that when I dress-for-success I feel much more motivated (this was especially important when I was working from home).
Yes, I definitely dress up for myself all the time (even if I don't plan to see a soul) - it totally affects my mood.
You look very pretty today!

I really, really like this combo. It's just the right balance of youth and grown-up! Nicely done :)
And yes, it's good to dress up, even if it's just for yourself. Makes a big difference in attitude and motivation, I think.
I totally agree with "dressing for success." I find that even studying in real clothes and not my pajamas puts me into a better state of mind.
indeed - usually - for me! it's fun!
I should learn with you =) I don't get dressed for myself but I bet I'll start doing it. You are really cute this time. This skit is fabulous! <3
