I am in such a rush this morning that I basically recycled this outfit from last week, switching out boots for my maryjanes and chambray for more a grown-up cream-colored top (sort of a henley but still kind of dressy). It took five seconds and I didn't have to second guess how it would look--phew!--though I'm sorry it's maybe boring for you all :)
Do you recycle outfits often?

Not boring, and yes most def on the recycling. I mean, once in awhile it's just so easy! Especially since, with jewelry, sweaters and shoes you can really change the look of something very basic. A la Uniform Project!

I love the pop of cream of the blouse under this sweater! This is a great outfit - both ways!

And I'm always recycling outfits. Al-ways. It's fun to challenge myself to find different ways to wear similar looks. It makes me carefully consider the details and how they can really change things up - like those Mary Janes instead of boots or the cream blouse instead of the chambray.

Not boring--and it doesn't look like the same outfit at all! A lot of my clothes seem to have similar silhouettes, so even if I mix things up I often feel like it looks very similar (here's me with a sweater, skirt, and a pair knee boots, and here's me with another sweater, another skirt, and another pair of knee boots...) In any case, I like this OOTD on you, and hooray for quick outfits that look good!

danskos are soooo cute! this outfit makes me want to get a pair. i recycle outfits all the time. i hate second guessing myself and showing up to school and realizing i look like crap. so usually i just play it safe.

Such cool shoes and as a first time visitor to your blog it's all new to me.
Recycle? Hell, yes, every time. Most of what I own is thrifted and vintage.

My problem is, as soon as I'm wearing an outfit I think of other ways to combine the pieces I'm wearing. But then I feel I have to wait a suitable length of time before wearing the pieces again so people don't start to suspect I don't do my laundry...

All the time. I do really like those Danscos. Which is strange because I am usually more a ballerina flat type of gal.

I LOVE recycling outfits! It's so easy, almost always guaranteed to look great, and takes almost no time at all. I love this recycled look you've created, especially with your contrasting mary janes (I'm wearing my black pair as I type...).

I love the subdued color palette and am totally jealous of your shoes! I try not recycle outfits but on weekends I often wear what I call "mash-ups" which are usually various elements of outfits worn during the week together in different combinations... I'm always trying to get a few more hours of wear out of things before I wash them!

I recycle all the time. Last year I had a "uniform" of dress pants, flats, t-shirt, cardigan, so essentially every outfit was some recycled variation. I've been trying to break the "uniform" habit but it's nice to have something to fall back on.

This time of year I definitely start to recycle outfits more. It's getting to that time of year when everything seems stale. In any case, though, I really love this outfit!!

I love the flouncyness of the bottom of the dress. it drapes so well on you.

I agree, its harder when the weather is really crappy to come up with creative things to wear and now just through on the same comfortable things all the time.

I have to tell you that I wore my cardigan like this to church yesterday and my husband couldn't figure it out... He kept asking me why the belt? Don't you have a thicker belt? When we got home he asked if anyone had asked or commented about the belt! Anyway I told him I have been looking at fashion blogs yours and Elaine (clothed Much) and he said well whatever you know I am not fashionable so just do what the girls tell you to do! haha
