It's been a while since I posted an "I Covet You," mostly because admitting my desire for an article of clothing on the internet has strangely made me unable to resist buying it. But this skirt--holy cow!--I bookmarked it and have returned to it at least a dozen times.
Wouldn't those stripes look so cute with some navy tights and a turtleneck for the end of winter, and with a sweet button-up blouse and maryjanes for spring?
Oh heavens, I wish I had a million more dollars in my bank account!

The combination you described sounds perfect! I'll be a complete enabler and say that, if it's made you go back a million times, it's time to buy! ;)
Holy Joseph and the Technicolor Skirt! This is glorious! I know all what you mean about coveting internet stuffs and returning to the page continually...

Soooo adorable!!! You should totally get it.

I'm in love with this skirt. Adorable!
That totally looks like a once in a lifetime skirt. But I won't try to sway you toward or against buying it...
I am curious if your students appreciate that they have a teacher with style, or do they just take it for granted? I had a student teacher in high school who could rock a retro jumper like nobody's business, but students just made fun of her because she had bad handwriting. Lame. Do your students seem to notice?
I love the bright colors and the bow is sooo adorable!!
This is in my "cart," I am waiting for it to get back in stock...
I love this skirt! You should totally get it :)

You are so right to covet it! It's too cute!
ooooooh, now I'm coveting that skirt too! Would you believe that one night at trivia my team doubted that covetousness was one of the seven deadly sins? We lost the round by one point because they didn't believe me!
I agree with everyone else - you should totally get this skirt. It would go with absolutely everything!
Not to enable or anything :) but this really is a great skirt - you probably have a million things you could wear it with in your closet so it would get a lot of use!
Really cut dress, I find myself doing the same thing, I eye things on the internet until my I can't take it anymore and cave in.
Hmm...i love the colour mix, but the fabric does not overwhelm me...
As it stands: go for the colour, no for the fabric.
Now it´s up to you...
That is adorable, you should go for it! I am a terrible influence though, so dont listen to me.
Sorry to be an enabler, but the skirt is a few dollars cheaper on Fred Flare: http://www.fredflare.com/customer/product.php?productid=5499&cat=298
Also, you can get promo codes for Modcloth and get 10% off the price, so the skirt will be a few dollars cheaper either way...Not sure if that will make any difference, but I think this skirt would suit you well and would be a nice bold statement amongst the neutrals you employ so well.
Yup, this skirt is perfect! Live off ramen noodels for a week and steal the skirt money from the food budget (bad idea, never listen to my financial advice...).
oh you rotten enablers!!! i just bought it :)
and p.s. angela--thank you thank you for the advice!!! i did get it for 10% off.
Lurve lurve lurve that skirt. You and I have remarkably similar taste. Do you think it might be the California history?
Yay for you caving in and buying the skirt - it is gorgeous!
so lovely. i would pair it with a white oxford shirt tucked in and a chunky necklace. great colours!
There's a similar one at Fred Flare....it's only $2 less but if you're stalking it until it goes on sale or something, you could watch both sites!
