Color Clash

Color Clash

Works Cited
yellow sweater: j crew (gift)
pattern tank: anthro (christmas)
black jeans: j crew outlet
gold flats: steve madden

Today's outfit was a serendipitous laundry pile combination--I had no idea that this blouse had the perfect shade of yellow to pick up on this cardigan. I love when that happens! I often get great ideas while sorting and folding laundry, because I see unexpected color combinations I otherwise wouldn't (yes, I compulsively color-order my drawers).

I love the pattern on the blouse, and feel great about most of this outfit, although I'm not sure I like the mustard yellow and gold. Thoughts? No offense taken if you hate it--I'm so ambivalent myself--but I had little choice because I only brought a couple pairs of shoes on vacation.

I love it. The cardigan goes perfectly with the top, and the gold complements it all. You look so cheery!
I love it when clean laundry pieces fall together serendipitously to make an outfit you've never tried before.

Love the mustard with the gold, and also love that you sort by color in your closet/drawers. ME TOO! Therefore, you might like Life in Color: The Visual Therapy Guide to the Perfect Palette, just as much as I do. You should check it out.

I think the mustard and gold look ok. Maybe if they were touching it wouldn't work as well?

Firstly...I love all your pretty hairstyles, it makes you look even more put-together! I am one of those brush hair and go girls but you're definitely inspiring me to try out more braids etc, so thank you!
I love this outfit, gold flats and all. I really want to find a garment of this yellow colour...you've made me love it. :)

That mustard cardigan is incredibly versatile given its unusual colour. It looks great with a somber gray dress and with a lively colourful print. It's great when an article of clothing does overtime like that!

Thanks so much for your comments about the checked dress. I definitely decided to keep it. (I love the beautiful, bright colors you are wearing here - mustard is one of my favorites, and I think you look fabulous!)

That's intriguing that you are spending the weekend in Seattle. I actually live quite close to the city. Enjoy your visit!
